How do I create a clickable mockup from screenshots?
1. Upload one or multiple app/website screenshots. 2. Drag rectangle boxes over buttons or design elements to create clickable hotspots. 3. Connect each hotspot to another screen or an external URL. 4. Click 'Preview' or 'Share Link' to test your interactive prototype.
How do short share links work?
When you click 'Share Link', ToolJi saves your screens and hotspot definitions on our server and generates a short 7-character link (e.g. toolji.in/tools/clickable-mockup/s/7Kx92Qa). Anyone with the link can interactively test your prototype on desktop, mobile, or tablet.
Do hotspots remain aligned when zooming or changing device frames?
Yes! Hotspot coordinates are normalized as relative percentages (0% to 100%) of original image dimensions, ensuring exact pixel-perfect alignment regardless of screen resolution, zoom level, or device frame.
Can I save and backup my prototype offline?
Yes, click 'Export' in the toolbar to download a lightweight .json prototype file. You can later click 'Import' to restore and continue editing your prototype at any time.
