An image compressor is a tool that reduces the file size of a picture while trying to preserve the way it looks. Large image files are common today because phone cameras, screenshots and design exports can include millions of pixels, high color depth and extra metadata. Those files look good, but they can be slow to upload, slow to share and heavy for websites. ToolJi Image Compressor helps you make those files smaller directly inside your browser.

The purpose is simple: keep the image useful while removing weight that most people will not notice. A photo that is 8 MB may become 1.5 MB or less with a balanced quality setting. A screenshot can be converted to WEBP for modern browsers. A product image can be resized to a sensible maximum width before it is added to a store, blog, form, email or document.

ToolJi is designed for everyday users, students, creators, shop owners, office teams and developers who need smaller files quickly. There is no account, no complicated workflow and no upload queue. You add images, choose a preset if you want, and download the compressed result.

Start by dragging images into the upload area, selecting files from your device or pasting a copied image with Ctrl+V. The compressor accepts JPG, PNG and WEBP files. You can add one image for a quick task or many images for a batch job. As soon as files are added, ToolJi reads them in the browser, shows previews and begins compression with the Balanced preset.

If you want more control, choose High Quality for visual fidelity, Balanced for the best everyday result, or Maximum Compression when file size matters most. Advanced Settings let you adjust the quality slider from 10 to 100 percent, limit image width and height, convert the output format and decide whether metadata should be preserved.

After compression finishes, each preview card shows the original size, compressed size, saving percentage and status. You can download a single image from its card or download all completed images together as a ZIP file. If one file is not needed, remove it. If you want to start again, Clear All resets the workspace.

ToolJi focuses on practical browser-based tools that feel fast and safe. Many image compression websites require you to upload files before anything happens. That may be fine for public images, but it is uncomfortable for identity documents, invoices, screenshots, family photos and private work files. ToolJi takes the opposite approach: the work happens locally in your browser.

Use Balanced when you want a reliable result without thinking about settings. Use High Quality for portfolio images, product photos and visuals where detail matters. Use Maximum Compression for attachments, form uploads and images where size is more important than perfect fidelity.

If an image is still too large, reduce the maximum width and height before lowering quality too far. A 4000 pixel wide photo rarely needs to stay that large for web use. For blogs, listings and many documents, 1600 to 1920 pixels is often enough. For thumbnails, 800 to 1200 pixels may be plenty.

Try WEBP when you need small files for websites or modern apps. Keep PNG when transparency is important. Keep metadata off for smaller files and better privacy, unless you specifically need camera or editing information preserved.
